On February 28, 200 members of ASEZ STAR (the Church of God Student Volunteer Group), from the Northeast Gyeonggi Region, carried out a cleanup near Uijeongbu Station. The station is a central hub where busy areas such as Uijeongbu First Market and Uijeongbu Rodeo Street converge, drawing large crowds throughout the day. Due to the heavy foot traffic, various types of litter—including plastic cups, cans, and disposable masks—were scattered across the area. The volunteers worked together to create a cleaner environment, using tongs to collect even trash hidden in flowerbeds. Over approximately two hours, they filled nine 75-liter designated waste bags.

A panel exhibition was also held at Uijeongbu Station Neighborhood Park. Members shared information with passersby about the impacts of climate change and possible solutions. As the volunteers carefully explained ways to practice environmental protection in daily life, many citizens listened attentively and nodded in agreement.

Kang Min-gyu, a member from Uijeongbu, shared, “It was meaningful to take part in an activity that helps protect the planet together with so many friends.”
