Approximately 100 members of ASEZ STAR, the Church of God student volunteer group, from the Incheon Namdong Region carried out a cleanup at Guwol Rodeo Food Culture Street, located in Incheon’s Namdong District. Held during the school vacation period, the activity was conducted as part of the Green World Project.

As a busy commercial area, Guwol Rodeo Food Culture Street generates a large amount of waste. To help ease the burden on local business owners struggling with litter issues and to restore cleanliness to the area, the volunteers took to the streets. From 10:30 a.m. for two hours, they carefully collected even the smallest pieces of trash discarded along flowerbeds and sidewalks, filling 18 large sacks (50 liters each) with waste.

Park Wi-gwang, director of the Incheon Metropolitan City Volunteer Center, praised the volunteers, saying, “Activities done for others also bring joy to those who give. ASEZ STAR members seem so cheerful because they regularly practice volunteering.” Member Park Seo-jin shared with a bright smile, “Environmental issues are becoming more serious these days. Through today’s activity, I’m happy that we could not only clean the streets but also raise environmental awareness among people around us and help our neighbors.”
