On September 16, approximately 60 members of ASEZ STAR, the Church of God Student Volunteer Group, from the Las Vegas branch in Nevada carried out a Green School Project at Fyfe Elementary School.
The Green School Project is a climate action initiative conducted in schools, involving activities such as neighborhood cleanups and campaigns to save electricity, water, and other resources. On this occasion, the volunteers worked to improve the school environment so that students could enjoy a cleaner, safer, and more pleasant learning space.

Gathering in the school’s backyard, the members raked and collected dried weeds, and hand-pulled overgrown grass that reached waist height, carefully bagging the debris. They also painted a mural on the school’s wall using paint and brushes provided by Fyfe Elementary School, brightening up the educational space.

In addition to the beautification efforts, the volunteers presented small gifts to the teachers who dedicate themselves to guiding their students. Susan Gambarelli, a teacher at the school, shared her appreciation: “The students could’ve spent their time elsewhere, but they chose to help improve the school. Their dedication was truly touching.”
Rafita Xizuatl (17), an ASEZ STAR member, said, “Through cleaning the school and giving gifts to the teachers, I realized how fulfilling it is to do something for others. I’m really looking forward to more ASEZ STAR activities.”
