On July 18, about ten members of ASEZ STAR, the Church of God Student Volunteer Group, from the Barcelona branch in Spain gathered for a leaf cleanup. Starting from Pla\u00e7a d’Espanya<\/a>, a famous landmark in Barcelona, they walked along Sants Street, collecting fallen leaves. United by a desire to spend their summer vacation meaningfully, they aimed to beautify the city and raise awareness about environmental care. Pla\u00e7a d\u2019Espanya is a popular tourist spot bustling with people, located near the National Art Museum of Catalonia<\/a> and the Joan Mir\u00f3 Foundation<\/a>. At the center of the square is a large roundabout, and the area is always filled with people coming and going.<\/p>\n

Fallen leaves were piled high along sidewalks and around trees, areas where people frequently pass by. Leaves that fall early due to disease can become breeding grounds for pests and harm nearby trees. However, when properly collected, they can be reused as compost. The members carefully swept the leaves with brooms and gathered them into bags. Once the bags were filled to waist height, they lifted them and carried to a designated collection point, wrapping up the activity.<\/p>\n
