On July 26, as the end of the school break approached, members of ASEZ STAR, the Church of God Student Volunteer Group, in Bras\u00edlia, Brazil, carried out a Green School<\/a> project near Taguatinga\u2019s 12th Elementary School<\/a>. They began their activities in the morning to ensure that students returning to school would be welcomed by a clean and pleasant environment.<\/p>\n

Around 9:40 a.m., the members gathered at the school, equipped with gloves and trash bags, and began cleaning the surrounding area. Despite the quiet atmosphere, there was litter scattered throughout\u2014plastic bottles, bags, and other debris left behind by passersby. The members walked along the school fence, diligently picking up trash. They also carefully searched through overgrown weeds to make sure even the smallest pieces of waste were collected. While holding signs that read messages like \u201cReduce Single-Use Plastics and Choose Reusables,\u201d they also helped raise public awareness about environmental protection. The members expressed how happy they were to take part in such a meaningful activity during their vacation, their faces beaming with youthful energy.<\/p>\n

Maria Rodrigues (16), one of the participants, shared her thoughts: \u201cI learned that even small actions can make a big difference in saving the Earth. This was my first activity as part of ASEZ STAR, and I really want to do more.\u201d <\/p>\n

Alessandra Moreira, principal of Taguatinga\u2019s 12th Elementary School, also supported ASEZ STAR, saying, \u201cI\u2019m so happy to see that a volunteer group like this exists. I want to learn more about ASEZ STAR and support their future activities.\u201d<\/p>\n
