On November 19, ASEZ STAR, the Church of God Student Volunteer Group in the Bronx, NY, U.S., held an \u201cAppreciation Event for Our Teachers and Loved Ones.\u201d The event took place at the Bronx Church with the goal of sharing the importance of gratitude with students, and was attended by about 90 people, including ASEZ STAR members, their friends, and teachers from a local school.<\/p>\n

The members gave a presentation titled \u201cAmount of Gratitude,\u201d in which they explained the benefits of gratitude, the connection between a positive mindset and gratitude, and the stages of gratitude. Following the presentation, the student had a time to write letters of gratitude to their parents.<\/p>\n

George Alvarez<\/a>, a Member of the New York State Assembly, attended the event and praised the ASEZ STAR members, saying, \u201cMany people talk about how beautiful your activities are.
